Constants can be locked to create some outcome. Locking means a constant can’t be used until the player’s next refresh step, unless unlocked.
Locked cards are unlocked during each player’s refresh step, becoming available to lock again. Anomalies are typically locked to make energy.
Agents are typically locked to attack. All constants can have skills that require them to be locked as part of its activation cost.
Lock
The lock symbol indicates when you need to lock a constant.
Unlock
The unlock symbol indicates when you can unlock a constant.
